(www.detect-inc.com) celebrates the third anniversary of opening of its European Division Office to meet growing demand for its radar products in the United Kingdom (UK), European Union (EU), and the Middle East. The DeTect Global Ltd. office is located in Horsham, West Sussex near London-Gatwick Airport.
“Over the past five years, DeTect has experienced a significant increase in its overseas business, particularly for projects in western Europe, Asia and Africa and this new office allows us to maintain the high level of customer support and response that has been a hallmark of DeTect’s success”, said Gary W. Andrews, DeTect’s CEO. In 2014, the Company saw its sales increase by over 20% driven primarily by international orders. “Export orders have continued to increase despite the global recession”, said Mr. Andrews, adding, “while other American businesses have cut back, we elected to push forward, increase internal investment and subsequently have gained market share that will position us for even more growth as the economy rebounds at home and abroad.”
Four staff members have been transferred to the DeTect Global office which is headed by Edward ‘Zak’ Zakrajsek, a founding member of DeTect. Since 2003, Mr. Zakrajsek has managed the company’s Field Services Group that has included oversight of DeTect’s MERLIN™ bird radar and HARRIER™ security system installations throughout the region including the UK, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Spain, The Netherlands, Turkey, Asia and Africa.
Founded in 2003 in Panama City, Florida DeTect specializes in radar remote sensing technologies for aviation safety, security and surveillance, wind energy, industrial wildlife protection and meteorology and has delivered over 250 radar systems to customers in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, China, India and New Zealand.
