Charles
W. Nicholson, Jr., Chairman of the Board for Community Bank, Coast, is proud to
announce that Edward Michael Freeman, Jr., has joined the Board of Directors
for Community Bank. Freeman currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for
Acentria Insurance headquartered in Destin, Florida.
Acentria
Insurance is a fast growing independent insurance agency with multiple
locations throughout the state of Florida. Responsibilities include all
financial, accounting, and risk functions for Acentria, as well as, evaluating
and managing acquisition opportunities available to the agency.
Freeman’s
career spans 25 years in the financial services industry providing a level of
experience and knowledge well suited for his Board appointment at Community
Bank. His past banking experience includes: serving as Area President for
Whitney National Bank, as SVP of Commercial Lending for Destin Bank, and as a
Management Associate with Barnett Bank.
Freeman
is also just as active in his community. He currently serves on the Destin Area
Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as a past Chairman of the Board. Also,
he serves as a Board of Director and Finance Committee member for the United
Way of Okaloosa & Walton counties, and Board of Director and Treasurer for
the Mental Health Association for Okaloosa and Walton counties.
He
is an active and long-time member of the All Sports Association and the Destin
Rotary Club. His past service includes serving as a committee member for the
City of Destin’s CRA Town Center and Finance Committee. He is married to Yvonne
with two children, Harrison and Sidney.
