The Bay County “dream team” had one of its most successful recruitment missions yet at the 2016 Farnborough International Air Show in the UK. There as part of Governor Rick Scott’s Florida delegation, the local group was headed by EDA President, Becca Hardin and included Aviation Consultant, Paul Cocker, Gulf Power’s Economic Development Representative, Jennifer Conoley, and EDA Vice President, Scarlett Phaneuf.
While at the show, the group met with over 20 aerospace companies and gained access to at least 12 President and CEO level executives. "We planted a lot of seeds and we will see the fruit in the form of project activity," said Hardin. "This was one of the most successful air shows, yet," she added.
The team returned home with many contacts and opportunities to
follow up with over 50 company representatives.
