Today, in
their joint Executive and Investors Meeting, the Executive Committee of the Bay
County Economic Development Alliance (Bay EDA) named Becca Hardin as President
of the organization. Hardin joined the Bay EDA in October, of last year, as
Senior Vice President and was named Interim President in November when it was
announced that then Executive Director, Neal Wade, had accepted an opportunity
with the University of Alabama.
“Becca and I
have spent the last 90 days meeting the leadership of the Bay County and her
enthusiasm, knowledge and excitement made a great impression on everyone. We
have no doubt that she is the perfect person for this job,” said John
Juchniewicz, Chairman of the Bay EDA.
Hardin moved
to Bay County from Columbus Georgia where she gained over 14 years of
experience in economic development, with 13 of those years as Executive Vice
President of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
“I’ve been
blown away by the incredible assets that we have to market in Bay County. I am
so excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with our partners and
stakeholders to bring high wage jobs to the area,” said Hardin. “There is so
much potential in Bay County. My family and I are so excited to become a part
of this community, and we’ve already made investments in our future here.”
